Thank You Richard & Stephen!

Rev. Richard Johnson, Executive Director of Christian Formation Ministries, presented a wonderful meeting for us in February on Challenges for Reducing Recidivism in Our Community.

Out of the meeting discussion, several collaborative opportunities developed for Rev. Johnson's program expansion possibilities and we were thrilled to hear about it.

Thank you also to Dr. Stephen Cunningham, Director of the Alternative Learning Program for hosting us (wonderful chicken!) and letting us see the work that they are also doing with youth.

If you are a member and wish to list an event, a workshop, a fundraiser, an advocacy opportunity or an activity with community impact that you think the EDRT members could help your organization publicize, let us know and we will publish it in our member newsletter.

Eventually we hope to integrate a calendar into our website...but for now, during our pilot phase, we will share news within the pages of "E-Dirt." To make sure you are receiving a copy, send us a note, or submit a member application. (See below)

:: Executive Survey

We are glad you found us!

New to EDRT? Please take a moment to fill out our new member survey and membership application. These are easy, non-academic questions. We are just trying to get a feel for the group's energy.

:: What is EDRT's Mission?

  • Are you looking for ways to partner with
    similar nonprofit agencies or councils?

  • Is your organization in a rural area and you feel disconnected from other organizations or the rest of the region?

  • Do you feel you need a bigger presence in your neighborhood or local community?

  • Want to share a guru-- a CFO, bookkeeper, grant writer, HR expert-- but can't afford one
    full-time?

  • Need more people to come to your fundraiser?

  • Want to more fully engage your board and your staff?

  • Wondering what to do when you are ready to retire?

  • Are you actively interested in self-sufficiency and improving your organization's capacity but feel overwhelmed?

  • Feeling your management skills are stale?

  • Wish you had a fun group of peers in which to bounce and share community strategies?

If you answered YES to any of the above, you are probably a perfect candidate for the Executive Director Round Table. Drop us a note to register and then come to our meetings.

Lunch provided. Pre-registration is required to attend.

Contact us for more information.

:: Do You Need Volunteers or Resources?

There are several ways to post listings for volunteers or search for nonprofit resources in our area.

Metro United Way offers a service for all agencies to post their volunteer needs and you do not need to be an MUW agency.

1-800-Volunteer.Org also has a national web-based listing service giving your organization additional exposure. When you need volunteers, it helps to be listed in various places on the web.
